Introduction
Wainwright Marine Services is a well-established, community-oriented tug and barge company, locally owned and operated.
Our office is at 110 Duncan Road in the Prince Rupert Industrial Park, overlooking our marine yard at 121 Duncan Road, with additional tie-up grounds at our Rushbrook facility.
Our growing fleet includes 7 tugs and 10 barges of various sizes and horsepower, plus industrial equipment, cranes, fuel trucks, flat decks and freight vans.
Wainwright began in 1967 as a one-man beachcombing operation with a single skiff. In 1969 Mr. Dalzell bought his first tug, the “Khyex II,” for towing logs.

There’s no single set price. Charges depend on the tug and barge used, the distance of the trip, the equipment or materials being loaded and unloaded, the type of work, and the hours of use.
Our work is governed by the tides, so trips need to be scheduled to coincide with them.
We have a variety of barges in different sizes and capacities.
We service all areas on the north coast of BC within a 200 km radius of Prince Rupert.
Our yard is in the Prince Rupert Industrial Park.
